11 Girls Went on a Dream Vacation in Lefkada

11 girls went on vacation :)), my friends and I traveled in July 2017 through GRE for a vacation in Lefkada.

From the first moment, everyone fell in love with the island! (3 girls returned for the second time in the same month :))

There’s no doubt that Lefkada has something different from any place I’ve visited in the world!

Something in the air…. the serene energy of the locals, the rare waters, everything together makes Lefkada a perfect destination.

So what did we do in 4 nights, on the first night they picked us up from Nidri on 2 speedboats for dinner in Meganisi,

On the second day we took a day cruise from morning until 5 in the evening, a truly magical day… around the Ionian islands for diving to the big cave, we hoped to see dolphins (but weren’t lucky), additionally the captain stopped for lunch at a taverna on one of the islands..it was simply perfect!!

On the third day we went to Porto Katsiki beach for a whole day, it was truly magical.

On the fourth day we were at the hotel beach and went to Nidri for some water activities.

Every evening we went out to bars and another amazing club by the sea.

Perfect vacation.

Chen and Roni – the Trip to the Highest Place on the Island

In August we traveled to the amazing island “Lefkada”. After enjoying the amazingly beautiful beaches, the special traditional tavernas that made our vacation so much more enjoyable, we decided to explore the island in places a bit different from “lounging on the beach”.

We passed through amazing villages that look like they’re straight out of an ancient movie, drove on winding roads, along the coastline between mountains and started climbing with the road. Of course, we stopped at tavernas that hosted us in a homey and warm atmosphere, and when we continued our journey, we just went with the flow into the unknown. We decided that even if we don’t know the roads and villages well, it’s okay to get lost and it’s even fun and enjoyable! We went up to the mountains, even had to “turn back” from some dead ends, until we reached the top. The highest point, the most elevated, the most beautiful!!! Standing on a mountain peak and seeing the entire island is an indescribable experience. We reached a special place with some antiquities and a huge bell just like in the movies. From the highest place on one of the unknown mountains, with the clean wind blowing on our faces, you can see the rare beauty of Lefkada Island. A beauty you don’t see every day – the rare beaches, crystal clear waters, mountains, special colors, all this made us realize that the pictures don’t lie and in reality it looks even more perfect…

On the way back, we saw the high and beautiful mountains and couldn’t believe that just an hour ago we were there ourselves, touching the sky…

We reached Ohad Adani from Serenity Boutique Hotel following a friend’s recommendation. After explaining our needs to Ohad, he immediately started searching and quickly returned to us with several options. Even after we changed our destination, he continued persistently and kindly to find our dream villa in Crete. Finally, when we settled on a specific villa, it turned out it wasn’t available on our desired dates. Once again, Ohad began searching for a villa that matched our criteria. After finding the villa, he negotiated excellently on our behalf and managed to significantly lower the price. Due to the success in finding the villa, we ordered all ground services from him (flights, car, and even travel insurance referral). Regarding the villa – we stayed in a villa in Crete. They have a complex of eight villas. We stayed in Poseidon Villa No. 3. The villa is located on a hill 70 meters from the sea, overlooking the sea and surroundings. Each villa has a private swimming pool with amazing terraces and pool areas. The villa is spacious and includes four spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. Every year the villa undergoes maintenance and painting, so it looks brand new, everything is clean and tastefully equipped by the Danish family owners who have a design products company – the villa is amazingly equipped and includes everything you can think of, and anything missing or needing attention is quickly addressed by the manager who lives nearby. We enjoyed an amazing family vacation, and we’ll be back! David

“Lefkada was amazing. The hotel was very pleasant, clean, and organized, and the people were kind. The course was conducted professionally and seriously but in a fun and enjoyable way. Our instructor was named Vassili, and he was awesome. The place is simply amazing, quiet, and peaceful. It’s important to tell people that those who do this should consider that there is also a lot of theoretical material to learn in their free time, but we had no problem with that. In short, it was perfect!!!”

Two families traveled to Lefkada. We arrived at a charming island with plenty of amazing beaches, coves, stunning nature, and more. The place is a paradise for windsurfers (Vasiliki Bay in the south of the island) and kite surfers (in the north of the island at Milos Beach). We stayed at Villa Irini, located above Vasiliki Bay. We were 10 people in the villa, plenty of space, well-equipped with every item we needed. The villa owners are dedicated, available for any matter, and have a big heart.

We’re back. It was amazing!!!!

Petros, or rather Petros’ father, is a very, very nice man. The apartment is beautiful, with a yard, grass, kitchen, and two bedrooms.

We dived at the club next to the Quicksilver sailing club.

In short, I want to thank you – I highly recommend Lefkada in general and this place in particular. It was worth it!!!!!!!!

A piece of paradise

It seems that God created the island of Lefkada for all of us, but only those of us who are willing to make an effort for it will get to enjoy this piece of paradise.

Only an hour and fifty minutes of flight separates us from Athens, but from there the road is still long. It’s a journey of about four to five hours along mountains and hills, seas and lakes, villages and taverns until the narrow bridge connecting this special island with the mainland is revealed before you, and this is also one of its advantages, at least in the eyes of the Greeks and Europeans who come here in the summer from all over the continent. So I flew to Lefkada for my 40th birthday, and as soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the smiling and tanned faces of Tony and Hani.

In the village of Athani, they built a charming corner of the real kind within 10 months together with an engineer and contractor only, all designed with their good taste and with many touches of home, warmth, and connection to nature – Mother Earth. Indeed, after the long journey, you park your car and open the two large lobby doors, and paradise is revealed before you.

Two double rooms overlook the sea from above, another 3 spacious family rooms are located below the lobby, beneath them a pool seems to connect with the sea, a chill tent near the pool that comes alive in the late evening hours after sunset, a spacious jacuzzi, a treatment room, and another couple’s jacuzzi, all surrounded by natural forest and lots and lots of peace and quiet. For sea lovers – don’t miss the amazing Porto Katsiki beach, also on the western side of the island, for windsurfing and kite surfing enthusiasts, there is also plenty to do as the island is tailored for these activities, and for those of you who have had enough of the peace and quiet, you can always stop for a day in Athens, just before returning home.

Hi Idan,

We had an amazing time, Tony and Hani were wonderful, pampered us.. We had Friday dinner together that Tony cooked, and it was simply amazing and moving – we were a table of 20 people. We have stunning photos from the island.. We recommend everyone to go there.. Some are intimidated by the travel time to the island. The truth is that on the way back it went great (we also stayed in Diakopto on the way back) we took a train that goes above a canyon to a ski town, I think in spring there is more water there. It was nice, but everything seems minor compared to this amazing island Lefkada..

It was excellent! The villa is amazing, it exceeded all expectations from the pictures on the website and more – the view from it contributes to the atmosphere..

The island and its views are unique and beautiful, the people on the island are very nice, and everything you need is within a few minutes’ drive or even a walk..

The drive is a bit long, so it’s advisable to take a spacious car with a good and updated GPS, and despite that, the special bridge connecting to the island, the views from the drive are breathtaking..

We thank Keren and Idan for all the information, service, and guidance they provided for the trip. The villa, the cars, the flight, everything..

The island and the villa are highly recommended!!!

“Last week I returned from the Greek island of Lefkada. On its western side, there are two beaches considered among the most beautiful in Greece. Not far from there, two Israeli women established a small boutique hotel. On the edge of the surfing pool whose black bottom shimmers like a crystal mirror, facing a crimson sunset slowly melting into the endless horizon, they poured me chilled Retsina wine, served me almonds, and taught me a lesson in dream fulfillment.

Two educated, talented, successful, and beautiful women, in the middle of their lives, move their lives to another country, without language, knowledge, relevant experience, or connections, establish a unique hotel where they live and host potential dreamers in designed suites.

It’s no coincidence I chose the “Greek” story – the word fantasy originates from the Greek language, meaning: hallucination, illusion, something entirely a product of imagination; an aspiration for something unattainable.

Unlike fantasy, dreams can be fulfilled if you go all the way with them and are willing to pay the prices along the way. The real difficulty is the fear of starting to dream. For many people, dreams are considered a luxury. An almost immoral act. Did your parents also tell you: “Stop dreaming”, “Stand with both feet on the ground”, “Those who dream end up disappointed”, “Where is your head?”, “Are you a kite?”… Did they plant in your head that you can’t go to the grocery store with dreams? That it’s better to be realistic… really?

Let’s recall the accepted formula for happiness: Happiness = Meaning + Enjoyment (preferably with the addition of active doing). Those who resonate with this formula will also agree that fulfilling dreams is essential to the consciousness of happiness:

A coveted dream, any dream, gives meaning to our lives like a lighthouse in a stormy sea, like a guiding point.

And the sublime feeling that comes from recognizing our courage and abilities and realizing the dream provides us with enjoyment. When it comes to dreams, I distinguish four types of people:

Those who don’t dream – because for them dreams are completely unnecessary and impractical. These people have an atrophied “dream muscle”.

Those who don’t dare to dream – due to unsuccessful attempts in the past, due to fear of the reactions of the environment.

Those who dream and don’t have the courage to fulfill – fear creates excuses: “Someday it will be suitable… when I have money, when the kids grow up, when…”

Those who dream – set out on the journey, committed to it, and stand bravely in front of the obstacles and prices – these know there is no real price for fulfilling a dream.

If there is a place where full equality of opportunity celebrates, it’s our dreams. Everyone deserves to dream and fulfill. Thinking we don’t deserve it only depletes the resources we have. We must not fall into such thoughts! We deserve to get what we dream of!

It was an amazing vacation, the island is breathtakingly beautiful…!! Amazing that Israelis hardly know about it.. we didn’t hear Hebrew even once during the entire vacation..

Pico’s hotel was excellent, the couple who manages it is lovely and friendly and advised us on many things, especially authentic local restaurants – the combination of a pool and beach adjacent to the hotel was simply perfect, the rooms are clean, breakfast is simple but sufficient, you arranged a sea-view room for us so we also had a stunning view, in short, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who asks, it exceeded our expectations and much more..

Access to the villa is via a dirt road, but the location is wonderful in a very quiet place

It was a very big gamble to bring 16 people, including 2 babies and 7 children, to an unfamiliar and unknown place

And I have no doubt that it was worth it in a big way.

I’m a homebody, I love to travel, see things, enjoy, but always miss home

And with you that didn’t happen. From the first moment we got out of the car after the long drive to your place, we were welcomed with warmth, hugs, and the feeling that we had arrived home.

We stayed with you for 8 days – 8 days of close guidance, pampering, compliments, help with everything we needed,

You showered the children with love and we were so sorry when it ended.

I would have been ready for another 8 days like these…

You’ve built a magical place, in a magical area, and I wish for you to maintain what exists, the amazing, intimate, impressive, embracing, pampering place

And yes, also your strength, because you work so hard.

The children cried all the way back home because they were saying goodbye to Lefkada and the hotel and the most fun vacation they’ve ever had

And believe me, they may be small, but these children have seen a lot.

We managed to calm them down by promising we would return to you.

I hope we can keep that promise.

Levi Family – Serenity Boutique Hotel

Our vacation at Serenity was very enjoyable – and indeed the hospitality we received from Hani, Toni and the staff was excellent.

We really enjoyed the Shabbat dinner on Friday evening, the birthday meal, and the hospitality in general.

The pool is very nice. The view is of course amazing and overall it was very pleasant. The island did not disappoint at all, even though it doesn’t appear in the main travel guides.

Toni and Hani also gave us good information about the island and helped us with booking the boat – that was very convenient.

We will definitely recommend the island and “Serenity” to friends – and we’ll also add a recommendation on Trip Advisor
